The Misery of a Midlist Author

Indulging my vanity, I googled "midlist writer" today to see if I could find this blog. To my surprise I was listed second. The only thing that came before me is yet another brutally honest midlister, who wrote this scathing article about the realities of publishing. It's harsh, it's painful, and it's so, so true.
