Hemingway's Favorite Short Story

I'm completely gobsmacked. I just read what Hemingway considered his best work. It's a short story in only six words.

For sale: baby shoes, never worn.

Wow.

  1. I know what he meant though. There are days were I'm elated after writing a poem. Then there are days where I re read some chapters I've written and I feel like shredding it to pieces and trashing it just to start over again. I think all writers are extremely sensitve about their work.

  2. Agree with you.

Just bought the six-word memoir book (titled Not Quite what I Was Planning). Fascinating insights!
