A cloudy day in Santander Bay, Spain

When I'm not traveling I'm based in Santander, a coastal town in the northern Spanish province of Cantabria. Instead of the usual sunny Spain, the north coast is more like a slightly warmer England. My wife snapped these photos of the bay last week. You get a nice play of light here!

  1. Very nice! That first one is quite ominous.

  3. Yeah, Sean...living in Spain...it's a rough life for you, isn't it? ;)

  4. Alex: strange to say, it never turned into a storm. We get a lot of ominous-but-harmless weather here. When a storm does come, it usually comes in so fast we don't get to take pictures!

  5. Hi Sean,
I agree with you that the light is often interesting in Santander. It's all dependent on the direction of the wind as far as I can tell. I live here too - I'm sure our paths will cross at some stage.
    All my best
