A Hundred Hits in a Day!

This midlist writer is very happy. According to Google Adsense, I got 214 hits yesterday, almost equally divided between this and my other blog, Grizzled Old Traveler. Getting more than a hundred hits on Midlist Traveler after three weeks in operation is a real thrill. Thank you everyone, and keep coming back!

Which brings me to the question, what do you want to see on this blog? I set this blog up to give no-nonsense insights into life in the midlists, as well as news about my career, writing advice, and writing success stories. What else does the blogosphere want to see? Is the balance about right? Drop me a line, I'm interested to know!

I'm enjoying it so far. People often think two things when I tell them I'm a writer:

1)Loser
2)They over romanticize what being a writer is - manual labor with words

The truth is somewhere in the middle (and, I like to think, tilted a bit toward #2).

Congrats! That's amazing.

Just keep telling the truth about being a writer and the writing life.

Looking for more from Sean McLachlan? He also hangs out on the Civil War Horror blog, where he focuses on Civil War and Wild West history.

You can also find him on his Twitter feed and Facebook page.
