Which cover do you like better?

Below are two mockups for the cover of my next novel, which is a sequel to my Civil War horror novel A Fine Likeness. Which do you think is better? You might want to click on the link to see how the first looked like. I appreciate your input!

I like the first one, Sean, the brown seems to exemplify the desperation. It makes me think of the depression, empty burned or water parched areas.

Haven't been around much, but I do lurk to see what you're doing. Good Luck!

First one. Think the reds suit it better.

Sean--I think the second one goes along better with the first in the series. And, I think the blue nicely contrasts with the other colors.

But that's just my opinion...

I like the blue one visually but it's true that the red one reminds me of blood

First one.

Looking for more from Sean McLachlan? He also hangs out on the Civil War Horror blog, where he focuses on Civil War and Wild West history.

You can also find him on his Twitter feed and Facebook page.
