Back from Worldcon!

As regular readers of this blog know, this week I was at Loncon3, aka the 72nd World Science Fiction Convention. I made lots of friends and ended up on the Iron Throne! It's good to finally get the recognition I'm due.
It was a great five days of panels, parties, readings, and meeting fellow fans. I did a signing of Radio Hope and A Fine Likeness on the 16th (my 45th brirhday) and was on a panel on refugees in fiction. For more on the con, check out the Worldcon report I did for the Black Gate blog.

Thanks for Jerome Finn for the photo!

Interesting sword effect on that throne. Do they belong to the dead warriors. . .?

Will you share any more tidbits from the convention on your blog?

Off to read your report!

DG: It's the Iron Throne from Game of Thrones. I believe the swords are from all the previous rulers. Nobody keep the throne for long.

Thanks, Sean, I didn't know earlier today what throne that was. Then, one of our daughters showed me a photo of herself in that same throne. (or a facsimile)

She had been to a 'special showing' of Game of Thrones props, etc. at our local exhibition in Vancouver with costumes and much more.
Great way to satisfy the fans!
